Davidson College’s Medical Humanities Program seeks applications for a two-year visiting position in Global Health with expertise in the social determinants of health, inequality, and public policy. We are particularly interested in candidates with demonstrated teaching and research excellence focused on pragmatic solutions for resolving global health disparities. The position will have a dual-appointment in the disciplinary home of the candidate (e.g., sociology, political science, economics, anthropology) and the Medical Humanities Program. The teaching load is five courses per year with a combination of upper- and lower-level courses.
Applicants must have a PhD or DrPH by the start of appointment, a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching, a record of promising research, experience working with diverse populations in the classroom, and a willingness to serve as an undergraduate research mentor.
