In addition, the candidate will be expected to participate in service activities and embrace the principles of diversity and inclusion as a member of the university community. The successful candidate will have a tenure home in an appropriate social science or interdisciplinary department in the College. Salary is commensurate with academic preparation and experience.

A doctoral degree in a social science field, global health, or public health is required. ABD candidates may apply but must have their degree completed by the contract start date in August 2018. Demonstrated commitment to teaching with an emphasis on promoting the success of undergraduate students, clear evidence of scholarly potential, commitment to working with diverse populations, and serving as active member of the university community are required. We are interested in applicants with a record of and interest in successful teaching and mentoring of students from underrepresented backgrounds (i.e. students of color, first-generation college students, low-income students, students with disabilities, and members of the LGBT community).
