Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA) Meeting 2020

The theme for the 80th meeting of the Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA)
is Cultural Citizenship and Diversity in Complex Societies. Its concern with issues of indigeneity, migration, and displacement are topics to which medical anthropologists have much to contribute. A full description of the meeting theme, written by program chair Lois Stanford, is available here: https://www.appliedanthro.org/index.php/annual-meeting

The Society for Medical Anthropology (SMA) is one of the co-sponsors of the
Albuquerque, NM meeting, which will be held from March 17-21, 2020.  In addition, the Council on Nursing and Anthropology (CONAA), the National Association for the Practice of Anthropology (NAPA), the Political Ecology Society (PESO), the Society for Disability Studies (SDS), the Culture and Agriculture section of the AAA, and the Society for Anthropological Sciences (SAS) are co-sponsors of the meeting, adding to the diversity of conversations.

We encourage you to use the AAA Communities listserv for sharing ideas for and organizing SMA-sponsored sessions or events. If you submit a SMA session or paper, please remember to mark SMA when you submit the abstract.
