Assistant Professor-Medical Anthropologist

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The University of Texas at El Paso seeks a medical anthropologist for a tenure-track, assistant professor position. We prefer that the candidate have research and teaching interests applicable to the U.S.-Mexico border and/or U.S. Latina/o populations, and an active research agenda with excellent potential for publications and external funding. Responsibilities include teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, both face-to-face and on-line. Ability to collaborate across disciplines, in the university and in a department with anthropologists, geographers, and sociologists, is important.

APPOINTMENT DATE AND SALARY: Anticipated appointment date is Fall 2015. Salary will be competitive for rank and commensurate with experience. The position comes with an attractive start-up package and excellent fringe benefits.
