Department of Anthropology at Michigan State University

The Department of Anthropology at Michigan State University invites applications for a one- year position in medical and cultural anthropology (with the potential for renewal). Areas of specialization are open, although we are particularly interested in candidates with an active research program which focuses on the health of Indigenous peoples, gender, and critical analysis of health inequity within larger political, social, and cultural contexts. The successful candidate for this position will teach introductory, intermediate, and advanced courses; and some service to the program is expected. Compelling evidence of scholarly activity and teaching effectiveness is required.  A Ph.D. in anthropology is required by date of appointment.
