Baylor seeks to fill the following faculty position in the Department of Anthropology TRACKING ID#: BQ # 34334.

 

POSITION:             We seek a biological or cultural anthropologist at the level of assistant or associate professor with research and teaching interests that would support our developing program emphasis on health and human biology.  Department website at http://www.baylor.edu/anthropology/

 

QUALIFICATIONS:               The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate at the time of appointment, a record of relevant publications, and evidence of strong potential for external support of research.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:              Duties include teaching of courses such as an introductory course, an intermediate core course in cultural or biological anthropology and advanced undergraduate courses in the applicant’s area of specialization. Advanced courses would be expected to support the developing program emphasis in human biology and human health, and an approach that integrates cultural and biological anthropology is favored.  An active research agenda with a quest for external funding and robust publication is expected, combined with collegial service to the department and the university.

 

RANK AND SALARY:            Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
