Leadership Team

The leadership team for AARG consists of elected officer and steering committee positions as well as appointed and volunteer positions. The elected officers (chair, secretary-treasurer, membership officer, newsletter editor, and electronic communications officer) are determined through a bi-yearly on-line election among the AARG Membership. In addition to officers, the AARG membership elects up to nine steering committee members (general members, international professional representative, graduate student representative, undergraduate student representative, and international student representative).

The appointed and volunteer positions (service award chair, paper prize chair, SMA policy chair, and webmaster) are determined by the elected officers and elected steering committee members, with the approval of the membership. The appointed and volunteer positions then become part of the overall AARG Steering Committee. As a steering committee, this leadership team is responsible for facilitating AARG activities, including caring for general affairs, setting and collecting dues, organizing meetings, promoting discussion, monitoring policies, and providing general oversight and inspiration for AARG.

For additional information about AARG leadership positions and elections please refer to the AARG bylaws in the Our Membership section of this webpage. Below is a list of the current AARG Steering Committee:
